ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT 

Ms. Wirth has a history of supporting the success of small business through her involvement with entrepreneurial organizations. Her unique expertise enables her to empower people and their businesses with the skills necessary to grow successfully in today's competitive markets. Her experience includes roles such as:

  • Executive Director, Valley Economic Development Corporation in the San Jacinto Valley, CA in creating strategies move the organization forward in supporting business retention, business attraction for higher quality jobs, and developing a trained workforce.
  • Executive Director of IEtechSOURCE as a resource division supporting technology companies in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
  • Deputy State Director, Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, on a special one-year appointment New programs were created to train small businesses owners and increase the awareness of resources. Outreach programs were created to reach the increasing diversity of business owners.
  • Economic Community Development Commission of Frederick County, she became a voice for small business concerns.
  • Board Secretary for The Entrepreneur Council of Frederick County and introduced the CEO Roundtable program so small business owners can creatively solve issues amongst themselves or hear from an expert on a topic of interest to them.

CUSTOM TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL FACILITATOR

For 15 years, Ms. Wirth has provided customized technology training for individuals, commercial and government accounts, national and international audiences.

  • Chamber of Commerce of Frederick County, Board of Directors Retreat; Board Member for 4 years
  • Facilitator for Executive Dialogue Series for small business owners
  • Women's Business Institute: Facilitator for panelists (all business owners) at multiple Entrepreneur Workshops and served as Facilitator for the Procurement Fair for panelists discussing Department of Defense Mentor/Protégé Program
  • U.S. Department of State: Workshop Chair for Women and Entrepreneurship: Mentoring and Networking representing the USA at the WoMen (sic) and Democracy Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania
  • Ms. Wirth served as Advisor, Northern Europe - US Business Networking for Women. Ms. Wirth also mentors three women business owners in Lithuania
